The lamp is held several inches from the wall to allow the light to spill evenly over a magnificent work of art. A blocky, rectangular backplate can mimic rectangular picture frames as well to complete a look that blends together. An optional cord cover descends from the backplate to accommodate cord-and-plug installation if hard wiring is not preferred.
